Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan Reveal First Look of ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’

Karan Johar’s production house just released a first look for "Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya" which has a tentative release date of March 2017 .

In a highly unusual move for Bollywood publicity norms, Karan Johar’s production house just released a first look for a movie that has a tentative release date of March 2017. “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” is the upcoming sequel to the 2014 hit “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” (HSKD). HSKD was a huge box office success and helped the lead duo of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan become one of India’s favorite on-screen couples.

Filming has just kicked off for “Badrinath Ki Dulhania,” so Dharma Productions just released this teaser as a preview.

Given that HSKD ended with Bhatt’s Kavya and Dhawan’s Rakesh seemingly getting their chance to live happily ever after much tribulation, it will be interesting to see how “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” carries the story forward, if it continues with the same story at all. Based on the teaser, both the actors are looking similar to the roles to they played in the first one.

With the same director-producer duo of ShashaKhaitantan and Johar, I am sure that audiences will get plenty of the same Bollywood masti in this sequel that made the first movie such a favorite.  Only time will tell if this jumpstart on publicity will help the film or not, because now we all have just shy of a year to get our expectations unreasonably high.
