Lucknow: Calling the Samajwadi Party (SP) a ‘namazwadi party’, Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh on Tuesday said,”When a leader like Mulayam Singh Yadav will craft politicians like Azam Khan, then riots like 2013 will take place.” He was talking about the Muzaffarnagar riots of UP. He said at the time that Muzaffarnagar riots were at their peak, the SP was busy with ‘Saifai Mahatsov’.Also Read - Rampur: FIR Registered Against Azam Khan For Threatening Witness In Land Encroachment Case

Continuing with his attack, Singh said, “If Gujarat riots were riots then why aren’t Muzaffarnagar riots called riots,” adding, “I am targeting SP, calling it a namaz wadi party not because I have any understanding with BJP, but because Azam Khan has threatened my daughters.”

In a veiled attack at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, Singh also questioned why the former was promising a Vishnu temple and a city after Him, if voted back to power. “How can a namazwadi party construct a Hindu temple?” he asked.
