New Delhi: After YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) accused Chandrababu Naidu of engaging in unethical and undemocratic practices in the data theft and cash-for-vote cases, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister retorted saying that there is a conspiracy being schemed by YSRCP, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Naidu’s response came after IT raids were launched on the firm that developed the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Seva Mitra app. The AP CM held both YSRCP leaders Jaganmohan Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy responsible and named them as the prime accused. He went on to say that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is helping them and all the three parties have misused the power in their hands.

Taking a jibe at the three political parties, Naidu said, “The schedule for the entire conspiracy is written and the action plan is also attached to the request and given to Election Commission. The bigger conspiracy is exposed. This has exceeded what’s shown in Baahubali movies.”

Naidu further said, “Telangana Police’s drama continued in the direction of YSRCP leader Vijayasai Reddy. The conspiracy is clearly sketched in the request of Vijayasai Reddy on February 19, 2019. Comparing Reddy to Dawood Ibrahim, the AP CM said the parallel between both the people is that they’re invisible but everybody is afraid of them.

The TDP and TRS have been engaged in a verbal battle since a case was registered on March 2 against the IT firm for alleged theft of data of voters through “Seva Mitra” mobile app, used by the TDP in Andhra Pradesh. Cyberabad police in Hyderabad have searched the firm and claimed to have seized a lot of material, including computer hard discs.

A special investigation team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the case. The police have issued notices to Amazon Web Services and Google Play as they have the database for the app. Meanwhile, TRS president KT Rama Rao has said Telangana police is probing the charges as per a complaint and asked Naidu why is the latter fearing.
