New Delhi, May 21: A massive fire broke out inside four coaches of Andhra Pradesh AC Superfast Express near Birlanagar station in Gwalior on Monday. The train left Hazrat Nizamuddin station earlier in the day and was heading towards Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. According to the TV reports, several fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze is said to be under control now. The cause of the fire was not known immediately but Railway sources said that an electrical short circuit could have led to the mishap. “A high-tension wire fell on the train resulting in the blaze starting from B6 and B7 bogies,”  Railway PRO Manoj Kumar stated.

The train was stopped immediately and all the passengers were evacuated safely. An inquiry has been ordered into the accident.
