June 9: Indian athlete from Kerala, Anju Bobby George on Thursday filed a complaint against Sports Minister EP Jayarajan for allegedly harassing her and other members of Kerala Sports Council. Reportedly, Jayarajan threatened her and accused her of misuse of funds. Anju is the president of Kerala Sports Council. She submitted a complaint to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. According to the complaint filed by Anju, the Minister threatened her when she with other members of the Council assembled for a meeting. She said that minister accused them all of being supporters of the opposition party and threatened with consequences as the LDF is now in power. Jayarajan had recently gained unnecessary popularity after he said that Muhammed Ali’s death was a great loss for Kerala as he had won many medals for the state. Jayarajan also termed Anju corrupt for travelling by plane from Bangalore to Kerala. As per a News Minute Report, Anju said that the sports minister does not have even minimum knowledge of sports. As per reports, she also said that the minister dismissed all transfer orders b y the Sports Council. When Anju brought up the matter she said that the cancellation would affect many lives, he threatened her again.
