New Delhi: A day after Apple executive Vivek Tiwari was shot dead by police personnel in Uttar Pradesh’s capital city Lucknow, Brajesh Pathak, UP Cabinet Minister had claimed that some high-level officials are trying to manipulate and hide things related to the case.

UP government will not pardon any criminal, including the police personnel who killed the innocent youth. Probe will be conducted against all,” Pathak said, while speaking to ANI.

Meanwhile, chief minister Yogi Adityanath spoke to the family of deceased and assured all possible help to them. Expressing his condolences, CM Yogi told the wife of the deceased that govt will provide all kinds of help needed by the family. He also asked them (vivek Tiwari’s family) to meet him if they want.

“It is very sad incident. Such criminal offences will not be accepted in the state. Immediate actoon was taken; the accused was arrested and a case was registered. For the family of the deceased, the govt will provide all kinds of aid needed, said CM Yogi, while speaking to reporters in Saharanpur.

Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya had visited the family members of the deceased.

On Friday night, Vivek Tiwari was allegedly shot by police personnel in Lucknow after which his car met with an accident. He later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital.  The accused constable, Prashant Chaudhary, has been taken into police custody following the incident and a case has been registered against him under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The state government late on Saturday announced a Rs 25 lakh compensation to the family of the deceased and a job to Kalpana Tiwari in the Lucknow Municipal Corporation.
