He spoke on a range of issues from fiscal deficit to farmers’ issues to relief to the aam aadmi of India. Calling it the budget for growth, the finance minister got candid over how he had to balance the demands from various sectors keep in mind the fiscal limitations and long-term growth. Arun Jaitley on Thursday, February 1, presented the Budget 2018-19. Budget 2018 was focussed on strengthening the rural economy and on improving healthcare and education, said Arun Jaitley while presenting the Budget 2018. In Budget 2017-18, Arun Jaitley had proposed a reduction of 5 per cent in income tax rate for individuals with income ranging between Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
