Arvind Kejriwal Turns 50; Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Others Wish Him
Several political leaders are wishing state chief on his birthday.

New Delhi, Aug 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday greeted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on his birthday. Kejriwal has turned 50 today. Birthday greetings to Delhi CM Shri @arvindkejriwal Ji. May he lead a long and healthy life, Modi tweeted. “Thank u so much sir,” responded Kejriwal.

Recently, former TV journalist Ashutosh had announced his resignation from the Aam Aadmi Party, citing personal reasons. He termed his association with AAP as beautiful while requesting the PAC to accept his resignation. Reportedly, Ashutosh, who was a key member of the party, had been feeling sidelined off late. As per sources, he has not visited AAP’s office in the national capital and had kept away from important party activities in the last few months.

Kejriwal had replied refused to accept his resignation and tweeted, “ Na, is janam mein toh nahi’ (No, not in this lifetime).”
Arvind Kejriwal became the youngest Chief Minister of Delhi when he was sworn for the first time on December 28, 2013. He is a native of Haryana’s Hisar district. He is an IIT Kharagpur alumnus. Before joining politics, he served as an Indian Revenue Service Officer till 2006 and later founded an NGO Parivartan. He is a recipient of the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award.
