Guwahati: 15 coaches of a goods train got derailed near Digaru Railway Station on Saturday in Assam. The incident has affected the movement of trains in the route. “The goods train was on its way to Lucknow when one of its bogies derailed late last night, hitting rail traffic. However, there was no reports of any casualty or injury,” ADRM, Northern Railway, AK Srivastava had said.
Meanwhile in June, at least eight coaches and engine of a goods train derailed in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. In the impact of the accident, train coaches fell from the bridge. The incident occurred between Bhansi and Kamalur area early Sunday morning.
News agency ANI reported that Naxals involvement is suspected behind this incident. No loss of life was reported.
