On July 14, a mild earthquake struck Raigarh district near Mumbai in Maharashtra. The tremors were felt in Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, and Ambarnath. No casualties or injuries were reported. The 2.8 magnitude earthquake struck the region at 9.31 PM. The epicenter of the quake was not known.
Recently, strong tremors were felt across North India, including Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier in February, an earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale struck Satara city in Maharashtra. The tremors were reportedly felt during wee hours.
