Rohit was arrested last Friday and was taken into custody hours after Home Minister Rajnath Singh asked Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik to take strict action against him. “A video of a man thrashing a woman ( in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar) has come to my notice. I have spoken to Delhi Police Commissioner and have told him to take relevant action,” Rajnath had tweeted. Rohit was sent to one-day police remand by the court.
