New Delhi, June 21: A case against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been filed by a tribal woman in a court for allegedly sharing her nude photo on social media. The woman, who belongs to Assam’s Biswanath, also filed the case against Assam’s BJP MP Ram Prasad Sarma. The photo was taken 10 years back, during a protest in Guwahati. The woman Laxmi Orang approached the court of sub-divisional judicial magistrate, seeking action against CM Yogi Adityanath and BJP MP Ram Prasad Sarma. Speaking to India Today, Laxmi Orang said, “Yogi Adityanath, without knowing any fact, commented in the social media that the rally was on behalf of the BJP and the Congress workers attacked it.” The woman further asked, “When Prime Minister Narendra Modi is campaigning for Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao at the same time his party Chief Minister (Adityanath) is doing this type of work. Talking about the issue, Ram Prasad Sarma said, “It (the stripping) was a fact and a true incident during that time. I shared it so that people know that an unfortunate girl was a victim and no justice has been given to her till now.” Sarma also said that he didn’t give any comment on the shared post. He also said that he had asked Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to reopen her case so that she is served justice.
