Assembly Election 2018 Live: With the Assembly elections in Rajasthan and Telangana around the corner, the campaign of both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress has reached a feverish pitch. Voting is scheduled for December 7 in both the states. Meanwhile, as the Congress released the ‘Jan Ghoshna Patra’ for Rajasthan polls promising farm loan waiver and free education to women and jobs to youth, BJP’s candidate from Tonk Yoonus Khan pitched himself in the electoral fight against Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot by saying, “I am a ‘sevak’, not a ‘pilot’”. “We are not asking for any free gift for farmers; we are just saying that whatever you do, you treat everyone fairly. If you are treating the richest people in the country, and you are giving them a loan waiver, then you owe that to the farmers of the country,” he added. The Gandhi scion will be addressing public meetings at Armoor and Pargi at 2.30 PM and 4.30 PM, respectively.
The voting for Telangana Assembly Election 2018 and Rajasthan Assembly Election 2018 is scheduled for December 7. The counting of votes in both the states will be held on December 11, along with three other states – Mizoram, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. The polling in these states has already concluded.
