Jaipur: On the last lap of campaigning in Rajasthan, PM Narendra Modi tore into the Congress by calling it a confused party. Speaking in Dausa, he said the Congress neither had a leader nor a policy. The PM said that the Congress managed to neglect even Khadi. He said the party gets upset now that his jacket, made of Khadi, has become famous as Modi jacket.
PM Modi said even as the Congress had issued a fatwa against him for saying ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai,’ he would continue to do so as it infused him and his fellow Indians with patriotism.
Elsewhere, in Ajmer, BJP chief Amit Shah spoke about dynasty rule and how the Congress fought elections on the basis of caste politics. Addressing a rally in Ajmer, Shah said that in contrast, the BJP fought elections on the basis of politics of performance.
Earlier in Sumerpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress as he spoke about the extradition of Christian Michel James, the alleged middleman in the politically-sensitive Rs 3,600-crore AgustaWestland chopper deal from the UPA era.
“The government has brought the middleman involved in a helicopter scam from Dubai. He served politicians and will now disclose secrets,” the prime minister said while addressing a poll rally in Rajasthan’s Sumerpur rally on the last day of campaigning before the state elections.
PM Modi is scheduled to address another election rally later in the day in Dausa.
Meanwhile, party president Amit Shah addressed a press conference in Jaipur, where he slammed the Congress, saying that the party was involved in negative politics, promoting casteism and appeasement.

While the Congress promoted dynastic politics, making members of one family party presidents, the BJP gives importance to those who perform and work to push the country ahead, he said.
Referring to the violence in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, earlier this week, Shah said it would be unfair to give it a political colour. The Congress, he added, had made allegations but things would be clear after the Special Investigation Team report.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi will also be visiting Telangana for the last leg of his campaign tour in the poll-bound state.

In a sharp riposte hours after Gandhi said that PM Modi should chant ” ‘Anil Ambani ki Jai’, ‘Nirav Modi ki Jai’….”, the prime minister asserted he would utter ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ ten times in the presence of lakhs of people.
The chanting of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ had triggered a row in 2016 after RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said the new generation needs to be taught to chant slogans hailing mother India.
Earlier yesterday, the prime minister launched a fresh salvo at the Congress, saying that it was due to then leaders of the party that during the Partition, Kartarpur went in Pakistan.
