Beef Fats Found In Tirupati Laddoos: Ram Janmabhoomi chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das on Friday responded to the escalating controversy over Tirupati temple Paradam, after a lab report confirmed that the laddoos served as prasad contained animal fats and fish oil. He termed the incident as conspiracy, stating that it is an attack on Sanatan Dharma. “It is clear from the checking that was done that fish oil was mixed…It is still not known when all this has been happening. This is a conspiracy and an attack on Sanatan Dharma. The government should take it very seriously and conduct an investigation. The culprit should be punished..,” news agency ANI quoted Acharya Satyendra Das as saying.

A lab report confirmed that the prasadam (laddoo) at the famous Tirupati temple, which is served to lakh of devotees daily, contained animal fats and fish oil.

In response, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has immediately established a four-member committee to investigate the procurement of ghee.

Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu alleged YSR government used animal fat in Prasadam.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that previous YSR Congress-led by Jagan Mohan Reddy had used animal fat in consecrated sweets–‘Tirupati Prasadam’ instead of ‘Ghee’ at Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati.

In a post on X, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh shared a video clip of his father, CM Naidu, addressing a gathering and wrote, “The Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala is our most sacred temple. I am shocked to learn that the ysjagan administration used animal fat instead of ghee in the tirupati Prasadam.”

“Shame on ysjagan and the ysrcparty government that couldn’t respect the religious sentiments of crores of devotees,” he wrote on the post.

Tirupati Temple

The temple serves as a sacred place honoring Lord Venkateswara, a form of Lord Vishnu believed to have come down to earth to help humans during the trials of the Kali Yuga. As a result, people often call the place “Kaliyuga Vaikuntha,” and identify the god as the “Kaliyuga Prathyaksha Daivam”.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena (JS), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), popularly called the NDA Alliance, had marked a landslide victory in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections by winning 164 seats out of 175.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, took oath as Chief Minister of the Andhra Pradesh after defeating YSR Congress. It is noteworthy that YSRCP had clinched 11 seats while TDP had won 135 seats in the state.
