New Delhi, Apr 21: Addressing a function in Bihar’s Nawada, Independent Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Friday said that attempts are being made to defame Hindus through the Kathua rape and murder case. “Some people are continuously defaming Hindus in the name secularism,” he further said.
Singh was speaking at a function organised in his Parliamentary constituency, Nawada, Bihar where he made a statement by saying, “A conspiracy has been hatched to defame Hindus using the Kathua case. Some people with vested political interests are conspiring to divide the country.”
Earlier, Giriraj made derogatory comments on Swami Aseemanand by connecting him with the “Hindu terror” or “Bhagwa Aatankawad”. “Rather arresting the criminals, Hindus are being defamed,” he said while demanding action against the culprits in the Kathua gangrape case.
An eight-year-old girl was kidnapped, kept in a temple managed by Sanji Ram-the main accused, drugged, gang-raped and murdered on January 10 in Jammu Kashmir’s Kathua region. A police sub-inspector, a head constable, and two special police officers have also been charged with taking a bribe to destroy the evidence.
