What are the key features of the LRAShM

Defence experts estimated the LRAShM’s maximum speed to be 6 to 7 Mach. Notably, Mach is a unit to measure sound speed, where 1 Mach equals 1,235 km/h.

Practically, this missile operates at 10 Mach, making it 10 times faster than the speed of sound, meaning it can cover a distance of 3.37 km in a second.

Incidentally, the DRDO announced the successful high-altitude trial of an indigenous integrated life support system (ILSS) for its Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas.

The On-Board Oxygen Generating System (OBOGS) ILSS can generate and manage breathable oxygen for aircrew during flight, eliminating the need for any traditional liquid oxygen cylinder-based system.
