The Himachal Pradesh assembly polls 2017 were held on November 9, 2017. Primarily the state is known for alternative wins between the two major contenders, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC). Presently the Congress-led government will try to retain power, while the BJP will challenge the grand party.
BJP claims victory in Dharamshala. Its candidate Kishan Kapoor wins 26050 votes. Congress’ Sudhir Sharma defeated with 23053 votes.
In Dehra, another independent candidate, Hoshyar Singh is leading with 23076 votes, while BJP’s Ravinder Singh Ravi is trailing with 17935 votes.
In Fatehpur, Independent candidate Baldev Thakur is leading with 9116 votes, while BJP’s Kripal Singh Parmar is trailing with 8443 votes.
