‘Begani Shaadi Mein Abdullah Deewaney’, Smriti Irani Mocks Rahul Gandhi Over His Remark on SC’s Verdict on Women Army Officers
Union Minister Irani called Gandhi 'Abdullah Deewaney' and accused him of twiddling 'its thumbs' on the issue.
New Delhi: Union Minister Smriti Irani yet again mocked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi after he posted a tweet on the Supreme Court ruling that stated women officers should get permanent commission in the armed forces.

Upping the ante against the Narendra Modi-led government Rahul Gandhi had tweeted,”The Govt disrespected every Indian woman, by arguing in the SC that women Army officers didn’t deserve command posts or permanent service because they were inferior to men. I congratulate India’s women for standing up & proving the BJP Govt wrong.”
Responding to his tweet in both Hindi and English, Union Minister Irani called Gandhi ‘Abdullah Deewaney’ and accused him of twiddling ‘its thumbs’ on the issue. He also asked the former Congress president to make his team check details before tweeting.
आदरणीय बेगानी शादी में अब्दुल्ला दीवाने,
It was PM @narendramodi Ji who announced Permanent Commission for Women in Armed Forces, thereby ensuring gender justice & @BJPMahilaMorcha took up this issue when your Govt. twiddled its thumbs. Tweet से पहले टीम को बोलो check kare 🙏 https://t.co/DQhm3tRc0g

Ever since Irani has defeated Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha elections from his stronghold Amethi, she does not leave a chance to mock the former Congress president.
Time and again the duo have been seen indulging in Twitter war. Off lately, Gandhi had attacked the BJP government over hike in cooking gas prices with an old photo of Irani which showed her protesting against increase in prices of LPG cylinders during the Congress-led UPA regime.
