Bengaluru Krishna Janmashtami Traffic Advisory: The Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued an advisory regarding significant traffic adjustments for the Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival on August 25 and 26. A large number of devotees are expected to visit the famous ISKCON temple on this occasion, which could cause massive traffic congestion on the routes. Therefore, the traffic police will implement several traffic management measures to ensure smooth flow. Check the traffic diversions and restrictions below.

Sundays seem to be burdened with escalating traffic congestion and it’s even worse on weekdays as, innumerable new vehicles join the hustle. Over the course of a year, from April 2023 to March 2024, Bengaluru recorded a striking rise in new private cars and two-wheeler registrations. A massive total of 6.37 lakh vehicles got registered, which was a significant jump from the 4.37 lakh of the preceding year. The aftermath? A 19% hike in two-wheeler registrations and a whopping 340% increase in fresh private cars. This onslaught of vehicles brings the total tally in the city to over a crore. Unfortunately, Bengaluru’s city infrastructure races to catch up breathlessly with its astronomical growth, leading to prevalent pothole-induced accidents and inadequate public transportation options.
