Bengaluru: A boy set his mother ablaze in Bengaluru after she denied giving money to him. The video of the incident, which went viral on the internet, has left the residents in a state of shock. The accused, identified as 20-year-old Utham, reportedly got into an heated argument with his mother, Bharti, over money. The denial by Bharti angered Utham, who then poured petrol on her and set ablaze. The woman was rushed to the hospital by her husband. A complaint against Utham has been lodged by his father. The accused is currently on the run and the police are trying to nab him.

In a similar incident on Saturday, a video of a boy thrashing his mother with a broom went viral on the social media. The 19-year-old accused Jeevan was taken into custody after the police registered a suo-motto case against him.
