Somashekhar got a booking for going to Bengaluru’s Adugodi to Dommasandra. The four men who boarded his cab at 10.30 pm not just robbed and thrashed him but also asked his wife to strip for them on a video call and took screenshots of the shameful act, according to a News 18 report. The incident happened when the cab carrying the four passengers was about to reach the destination in Dommasandra. The men allegedly started beating Somashekhar, snatched the car keys and started driving. Also Read - Lockdown to be Imposed in Bengaluru? Karnataka Health Minister Drops BIG Hint

“They drove for around 100km. They asked for all my money. I had Rs 9,000 in my bank account. They wanted more and asked me to ask friends to send more. I had Rs20,000 rupees in my Paytm account. I called a relative, sent the money to him via Paytm and asked him to transfer the money to me in my bank account, which these men withdrew,” News 18 quoted the victim driver as saying.

He further told that the culprits stopped midway for about half an hour when they videocalled his wife and asked her to strip and took screenshots of it.

The four men took Somashekhar to a lodge in Channapatna in Ramanagara district on Saturday morning from where he somehow managed to escaped by jumping out of the toilet window.

He rushed to the Channapatna police station and narrated his ordeal, but by the time police could reach the lodge, the men had fled.
