Earlier, a traffic advisory was issued for companies located along the Outer Ring Road (ORR). In the advisory, the department requested that companies implement work-from-home (WFH) arrangements on Wednesday, August 14, citing the long weekend and predictions of heavy rains. The Joint Commissioner of Police (Bengaluru Traffic), M.N. Anucheth, in a letter to the Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA), mentioned the possibility of heavy traffic congestion on the route.
It is worth noting that ORRCA represents IT/ITeS companies, software development and research centres on ORR (Central Silk Board-KR Pura) and technology parks in the city.
