Bengaluru: The 17th Pallaki Utsav, a significant religious procession, is set to take place in Bengaluru on Wednesday, prompting the city’s traffic police to issue a special advisory. The Bengaluru police department announced that vehicular traffic will be temporarily prohibited at the Pantur railway underpass from 7 am on May 29 to 7 am on May 30, to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic during the Pallaki Utsav and procession at Panattur Village under the jurisdiction of the HAL Airport Traffic Police Station.

Commuters who frequently take the HAL Road and Outer Ring Road are advised to plan their travel accordingly. Notably, vehicle movement will be restricted at the bustling Pantur railway under bridge, known for its high traffic volume. To assist commuters affected by these restrictions, the Bengaluru police have arranged an alternative route for those who rely on this road for their daily commute. This proactive measure aims to ensure minimal disruption and inconvenience to the public during this religious event.

Pallaki Utsav: Alternate route to avoid traffic

  • Vehicles traveling from Varthur towards Kadubisanahalli can now use the route via Vib Gear School Road to reach Kundalahalli gate and Horavartula Road to reach Kadubisanahalli.
  • Vehicles heading from Kadubisanahalli Junction towards Varthur can now take Horavartula Road to reach Kundalahalli and Vib Gear School Road to reach Varthur.
  • Alternative routes have been designated to ease traffic flow and improve connectivity between Varthur and Kadubisanahalli.
  • This new arrangement is expected to reduce congestion and travel time for commuters in the area. Drivers are advised to follow the new route directions and signs for a smoother travel experience.
