Bengaluru, May 17: A Bengaluru based woman, enraged at her techie husband for checking her WhatsApp messages on her mobile phone, allegedly slashed his fingers with a kitchen knife. The incident took place recently at the IT capital of the nation and both husband and wife had lodged a complaint against each other in a local police station. The Social Service wing of Bengaluru police have also summoned parents of the couples for a patch-up!
According to reports, the incident happened on May 4, at the residence where the couple Sunita Singh and Chadraparakash Singh were living since last seven years. The incident came into light when the victim (husband) lodged a police complaint, seeking protection from his wife.
Report suggest that the duo were living in Kaikondanahalli near HSR Layout, a locality favoured by IT professionals in Bengaluru, after they moved from Bihar. Three years ago Sunitha quit her job and was on a break at her home. The victim had alleged that his wife is addicted to her mobile phone due to which they both fought several time. The victim had alleged that when he returned home on May 4 at around 11 pm, he found out that dinner was not ready. When her husband asked for food, she told that she had ordered the dinner online. After that the victim’s wife was again busy with her phone for which the irked husband allegedly abused her for it. The war of words started between Sunitha and Chandraprakash after which he snatched the phone and started checking her messages. Sunitha tried to take it back, which led to an alleged fight between husband and wife.
Sunitha, enraged with her husbands behavior went into the kitchen where Chandraprakash allegedly slapped her. Sunitha got hold of a knife and attacked her husband. While attacking her husband, she slashed his fingers, leading to severe injuries. After Chandraprakash’s hand started bleeding profusely, he dropped the phone and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
The cops found severe injury marks on Chandraprakash’s right hand fingers after that a case was registered. The police said that both husband and wife lodged complaints against each other and questioning is on. The husband, afraid of his life also requested round-the-clock protection from the police.
