Bhopal, Mar 25: A girl was abudcted and allegedly gangraped by two persons in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The victim was kidnapped from MP Nagar by the accused. The state police has arrested four persons in connection with the crime that has spread panic across the locality. Meanwhile, more details are awaited. According to the police, one of the accused used to be victim’s friend. He called her up and invited to meet to sort some issues. “All four involved arrested. One of the accused who used to be her friend, tried to contact her, invited her to meet her at some place to sort out issues. He then took her to his friend’s house & called other friends to the place, where she was raped,” Rahul Kumar Lodha, SP (Bhopal), said. In November last year, a 19-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped by four men for nearly three hours near the Habibganj Railway Station in Bhopal. The woman, daughter of a cop couple, was kidnapped when she was returning from coaching classes for civil services exam in MP Nagar area. The police said all the accused have been arrested.
The incident took place at around 10 PM. The accused took the woman under a culvert, tied her up and took turns to rape her before fleeing. As per reports, the accused even took a tea and gutkha break before returning to repeatedly rape her.
The police had booked the accused under sections 376 D (gangrape) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC.
