Faridabad: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered 300 kg of RDX from Faridabad in the National Capital Region. The police succeeded in making a major breakthrough following disclosures made by an arrested Kashmiri doctor. An AK-47 rifle and a cache of ammunition were also recovered along with the powerful synthetic explosive, during the operation.
Officials stated that the major recovery of a large amount of RDX was made based on inputs provided by Dr Aadil Ahmad. The doctor disclosed the information during interrogation.

Earlier, an AK-47 and other ammunition were also seized from a locker in Kashmir belonging to the doctor.
Currently, the J&K Police is questioning Ahmad for his alleged involvement in storing and transporting arms and explosives.

Initial probe revealed that another doctor was involved in the criminal offence. The doctor was identified as Muzamil Shakeel. Muzamil is the son of Shakeel Ahmad Ganai and hails from Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. He allegedly assisted Ahmad in stocking the seized explosives and arms in Faridabad.
Both doctors are in police custody. As per cops, it is one of the biggest seizures of explosives linked to Kashmir in recent years.
According to police sources, further recoveries and arrests are possible in the coming days as teams are tracing the network responsible for smuggling the explosives and arms near Delhi.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
