New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, spoke with US President Donald Trump.

PM Modi posted on X: “Had a very warm and engaging conversation with President Trump. We reviewed the progress in our bilateral relations and discussed regional and international developments. India and the U.S. will continue to work together for global peace, stability and prosperity. @realDonaldTrump @POTUS.”

What Did The Two Leaders Discuss?

During the conversation, the two leaders reviewed the progress made in the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and expressed satisfaction with the continuously strengthening bilateral cooperation in all areas. The PM further stated that India and the US will continue to work together for global peace, stability, and prosperity.

PM Modi And President Trump Emphasize Importance Of Bilateral Trade

PM Modi and President Trump emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum in their joint efforts to enhance bilateral trade. They discussed taking cooperation to new heights in priority areas, including critical technologies, energy, defense, and security, to implement ‘COMPACT’ (Catalyzing Opportunities for Military Partnership, Accelerated Commerce & Technology). Both leaders expressed satisfaction that cooperation is continuously strengthening in all sectors.

This is the first conversation between PM Modi and Donald Trump since Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India.
