New Delhi: A day after 24-year-old Mumbai student Arjun Bhardwaj killed self after going live on Facebook, M Pratham, the winner of Bigg Boss Kannada season 4 and actor, attempted suicide in a similar way. The actor went live on facebook after consuming pills. He was seen talking to his followers that the rumours about his career and personal life which were doing rounds on social media, had left him badly disappointed.

In the 20-minutes long video, Pratham is seen talking in regional language about the gossip and rumours that targeted him. The Bigg Boss winner also apologised to people for taking this extreme step in the live video. As per the reports of leading daily The Times Of India, the actor was instantly taken to the hospital in Nagarabhavi. His friend told the daily that doctors started his treatment immediately.

When the daily tried to contact Pratham, someone received the call and the Bigg Boss winner was fine. However, the person refused to comment or talk further. Pratham is in his early 20s and had won the Kannada ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 4 three months back.  As per the media reports, he was about to feature in Kannada movies.

Earlier on April 03, Arjun Bhardwaj, who hailed from Bengaluru committed suicide by jumping from the 19th floor of Taj Lands End hotel. He was studying at a college in suburban Vile Parle, a senior police official had said PTI. Bhardwaj had booked a suite on the 19th floor of a star hotel in the wee hours on Monday. He jumped from the room by breaking the glass of the window around 6:30 PM.

According to police, Bhardwaj had posted a video on a social networking site about steps to kill oneself before taking the extreme step. “I’m a drug addict..I don’t want to live anymore and hence committing suicide,” the official said, quoting the suicide note purportedly written by him. The suicide note was found from the hotel room.
