Patna, Jun 22: A 10-year-old boy was shot in the head for plucking mangoes from an orchard in Khagaria district of Bihar. The incident took place on Thursday in Pathraha village under the limits of Gogri Police Station. The boy’s body has been sent for post-mortem, police said. The deceased, identified as Shergarh village native Satyam Kumar, was shot in a mango orchard. At the time of the incident, he was not alone, the police claimed while adding that some other children were also playing there. Satyam’s father Manuki Yadav (38) has accused orchard watchman Ramashish Yadav (43) of killing his son. He is reportedly absconding. The orchard, as per reports, is owned by one Baroh Chaudhary. Also Read - Bihar: All Schools, Colleges To Remain Closed Till April 11; Large Gatherings Banned
As per the police, no empty cartridge or firearm was recovered from spot. Meanwhile, a probe has been launched to nab the accused.
