Hajipur Assembly Constituency Election Result 2025 Highlights: Hajipur is one of the major Assembly constituencies in the 243 constituencies in Bihar. It is located in Bihar’s Vaishali district. Hajipur is considered a stronghold of the Paswan family, late Ram Vilas Paswan also created a record for the highest victory margin in the 1977 Lok Sabha elections. However, the political dynamics are different in the Assembly seat. Unlike the Lok Sabha seat (reserved for Scheduled Castes) Hajipur Assembly constituency is a general seat. It means that the Paswan family’s influence is less compared to the parliamentary polls. BJP’s Awadhesh Singh, who won the seat in 2015, is the sitting MLA.
The dominant parties in the Assembly constituency are: – BJP, JDU, RJD, and INC. Historically, the BJP has consistently won Hajipur in the years – 2010, 2015 and 2020. The major parties contesting for the Hajipur Assembly constituency are Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Janata Dal United (JDU), BJP, and Congress.
