Buxar (Bihar), Oct 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed yet another election rally for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections in Buxar. But this time Modi specified the agenda of Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance, saying that the second ‘Green revolution’ will kick start from the farmlands of Bihar.
Modi said Bihar has immense scope of development and the farmlands are very fertile. He also said debt ridden farmers need not worry as the scope of second ‘Green revolution’ is omnipresent in Bihar. But, Modi was also concerned about the poor condition of electricity in the state and said that for any development, the first and the foremost requirement is electricity. He said, “Is Bihar bereft of water? No. But do the farm lands get water? No. If we make that happen, farmers will reap gold from the earth. The second Green Revolution will come from Bihar – you have resources, land and potential.” Taking the opportunity, he also slammed Nitish Kumar of his promises of providing computers to the people, when there is lack of basic infrastructure in in state. He said, “Nitish ji, you speak of providing computers to the youth, how will they operate it without electricity?”
Talking about his views on reservation, Prime Minister said his party will not leave any stone behind in providing the reservation for the needy. But, at the same time he also took a jibe at the Mahagatbandhan allies Janata Dal United, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress. The union has no confidence left of winning the elections, they have taken the route of ‘tantriks’ (occult practitioner). Targeting Kumar, Sonia Gandhi and Lalu Prasad Yadav, Modi said they are accountable and answerable to the people with whose sentiments they played for the last 68 years. The third phase of Bihar Assembly polls is scheduled to take place on October 28 for 5o constituencies. The previous first phase took place on October 12 in which 57 per cent voting was recorded, while for the second phase which took place on October 16 recorded 55 per cent voting. With the counting of votes scheduled to take place on November 8, every political party is seen confident to win the elections.
