Patna: An FIR has been registered by Patna AIIMS administration against Kanhaiya Kumar over an alleged altercation with some junior doctors of the hospital on Sunday. Apart from Kumar, others named in the FIR filed at Phulwari Sharif police station are Sushil Kumar and 80-100 unknown people, said ANI.

According to the junior doctors, Kumar misbehaved with them. The doctors were also striking work, said reports, till their FIR was registered. The upset doctors have also sought action against Kumar. They alleged that when Kumar, who had gone to visit AISF general secretary Sushil Kumar admitted there, arrived with his entourage, the guard posted there said so many people couldn’t be allowed inside in one go. At that, the group misbehaved with him. A report said the group also misbehaved with the doctors and nurses on duty. It claimed the group also snatched some doctor’s cellphone and barged in.

The doctors have spoken to the hospital authorities and have sought better security, said reports.

Kumar is reported to be gearing up to fight the forthcoming general elections from Bihar’s Begusarai as a candidate of the much touted ‘Mahagathbandhan’. If reports are to be believed, the Rashtriya Janata Dal has agreed to Kumar contesting from Begusarai seat. The Congress leadership, too, has given its support to the decision. Sources close to Lalu’s family have been quoted as saying that Kumar will be contesting the LS polls 2019 as official nominee of the CPM but, would be declared as the common candidate of the Mahagathbandhan which consists of RJD, Congress, CPM, NCP, HAM(S), Loktantrik Janata Dal and all left parties. As per a report, CPM leader Satya Narayan Singh has confirmed the news. He has asserted that Kumar has given his consent to the party that he will contest from Begusarai seat.
