Bihar: One Shot Dead, 4 Buses Set Ablaze by Naxals in Aurangabad; CRPF Present on Spot

Patna: Naxals on Saturday shot one person dead in Bihar’s Aurangabad last night, news agency ANI reported. Further, the Maoists also set four buses ablaze. As of now, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and district police are present on the spot to examine the case.

In an earlier incident, Naxals allegedly burnt a truck near a mine in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district, but there no casualty, police said. The incident took place around 10.30 pm in Hedri village, located around 10 km from an iron ore mining site at Surajgarh in Etapalli tehsil of Gadchiroli, Additional Superintendent of Police Mahendra Pandit told PTI.
“The truck had broken down at the spot a few days back. The contractor concerned was asked to remove the vehicle, but it kept lying there,” he said. According to police, Naxals had burnt around 14 vehicles belonging to a road contractor in Etapalli tehsil earlier.
