New Delhi: The prime witness in the 2016 murder case of BJP leader Visheshwar Ojha has allegedly been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Bihar’s Arrah, news agency ANI reported. The incident has not been confirmed yet. More details are awaited in the incident.
Bharatiya Janata Party vice president of Bihar, Visheshwar Ojha was killed by unidentified gunmen in February 2016. According to reports, Visheshwar Ojha, who was BJP candidate from Shahpur in Bihar Assembly polls, was gunned down by unknown gunmen in Ara district of the state. It is said that Ojha was killed following a gang-war between him and a group.
Visheshwar Ojha was earlier in Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United). In February 2005, Ojha’s wife Shobha Devi contested Bihar Assembly elections from Shahpur on JDU ticket. After Shobha Devi’s candidature was cancelled in November, her sister-in-law Munni Devi contested from the same seat on BJP’s ticket.
