New Delhi, March 3: Election results for Bhishalgarh, Golaghati, Suryamaninagar and Boxanagar will be declared on Saturday. The main fight is between CPI-M and the BJP alliance. CPIM has been winning the elections here for the past four times. Tripura’s CM Manik Sarkar has been the chief minister of the state since 1998. 15:41 pm: SAHID CHOUDHURI of  Communist Party of India (Marxist) defeated BAHARUL ISLAM MAJUMDER of Bharatiya Janata Party.

14:45 pm: RAM PRASAD PAUL of Bharatiya Janata Party is leading RAJKUMAR CHOUDHURY
of Communist Party of India (Marxist) by 3742 votes.

14:41 pm: BJP’s BIRENDRA KISHORE DEBBARMA of Bharatiya Janata Party will likely as he is ahead by over 2400 votes.

14:39 pm: Bhanulal Shah of CPIM wins by 766 votes in Bhishalgarh.

The Congress party is contesting the elections alone. The main contest is between the Communist Party of India– Marxist (CPIM) and BJP-IPFT alliance. 292 candidates are in the fray. Polling was conducted on February 18 with record 92 per cent turnout.

Bishalgarh:BJP’s Nitai Chaudhuri is contesting with CPM’s Bhanulal Saha. Indian National Congress’ Jaydul Hossain is also in the fray. In 2013, Bhanulal Shah was the winner.

Golaghati: CPM’s Keshab Debbarma is contesting with BJP’s Birendra Kishore Debbarma. Congress party’s Nishi Kanta Debbarma and INPT’s Manab Debbarma are also in the fray. In 2013, Keshab Debbarma had defeated INPT’s candidate.

Suryamaninagar: AITC’s Krishna Kanta Debnath will contest against CPM’s Rajkumar Choudhary. In 2013, the CPM candidate was the winner. Congress party’s Prasanta Bhattacharjee and BJP’s Ramprasad Paul are also in the fray.
