New Delhi: Seems like Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s ‘Gully Boy’ fever has gripped both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress as both the parties have taken potshots at each other to the tune of ‘Bolo Azadi’, a song from the upcoming film.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, the BJP and Congress are brutally trolling each other on Twitter and coming up with the most hilarious memes.

The Congress put up the film song which took a dig at the government and followed it with the Azadi slogans raised by the then Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student union president Kanhaiya Kumar in 2016. It went on to call the saffron party and Central government ‘corrupt’.

Check out the Twitter ‘Azadi’ war between the two.

Soon after, BJP hit back at the Congress, saying that people’s goal for 2019 was “Congress se Azadi”. The BJP’s video has newspaper reports showing the Congress in a bad light and ends with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark in the Lok Sabha, “Congress mukt Bharat is not my slogan. I am just fulfilling (Mahatma) Gandhi’s dream”.

The BJP wrote, ‘While Rahul Gandhi will stay up all night wondering what new lies to peddle tomorrow morning, we leave you with this goal for 2019’. Have a happy Friday night, people! 🙂

BJP’s tweet invited reactions from both the Congress and AAP, and the ensuing GIF fest left Twiteratti in splits.
