New Delhi, Dec. 28 : Taking potshots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi after reports confirmed that the found in the Dadri victim’s house was mutton and not beef, Samajwadi Party leader Gaurav Bhatia on Monday alleged that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is keen on making communal statements to divide the society and disturb the communal harmony. Bhatia said the Uttar Pradesh Government had filed a chargesheet and it came to light that the “invisible hand in the Dadri lynching was that of a BJP’s leader’s son”. “The issue was never about beef, the issue was most unfortunate because a human life was lost. And it clearly shows that the BJP is not about development, it’s not about fulfilling promises, rather it is only about making communal statements to divide the society and to disturb the communal harmony,” he said. “We hope that Mr. Narendra Modi will act like the Prime Minister of the country and will take strict action against any BJP leader or any member of organisations like the VHP,” he said.
