Lucknow, April 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi on Saturday praised her rival Congress party president Sonia Gandhi for curbing corruption and discouraging nepotism in her constituency. Maneka Gandhi narrated an incident when one of the Sonia Gandhi’s relatives (who had opened up a shop) used to take advantage of her name during a meeting of the district vigilance committee in Pilibhit. Maneka’s response came after an official pointed out that he did not have the authority to act against corrupt bureaucrats.
