New Delhi, Feb 27: BJP MP Pratap Simha on the social media giant Twitter compared the daughter of Kargil martyr Gurmehar Kaur to India’s most wanted underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. The BJP MP wrote,”at least Dawood did not use the crutches of his father’s name to justify his anti-national stand.”
After this remark, Union minister Kiren Rijiju took to twitter and questioned who was misguiding the young girl. “Who is polluting Gurmehar Kaur’s mind?” asked Rijiju. In the same tweet, the minister further wrote “A strong Arm Force prevents a war. India never attacked anyone but a weak India was always invaded.” Kaur, the daughter of the Kargil war martyr had said that Pakistan did not kill her father, it was the war. This was his reply to Kaur’s statement that war killed her father and not Pakistan.
Kaur came into news after she initiated a campaign against the student wing of BJP, ABVP, on the social media after last week’s violence at Ramjas College. Kaur posted her image with a placard reading, “I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP”. She had earlier this year posted another video with a placard, “Pakistan did not kill my father, war did.
Last week, clash erupted between activists of the All India Students Association (AISA) and the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) outside Ramjas College. These clashes came a day after the ABVP forced suspension of an event to be addressed by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students Umar Khalid, jailed last year for allegedly shouting anti-national slogans, and Shehla Rashid.
The members of AISA had claimed that the ABVP members pelted stones and turned a silent protest into a violent one. On the other hand, members of the ABVP claimed that it was from the AISA that violence had begun.

In this matter the former India opener jumped in and posted his picture with a placard that read, ” I did not score two triple tons, my bat did.”
At present Kargil martyr Captain Mandeep Singh’s daughter Gurmehar Kaur has filed a complaint with the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) after reportedly receiving rape threats for her campaign against the ABVP.
