New Delhi: Today, November 14, will go down as one of the most memorable days for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The reason is the results of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, in which the party has put up a spectacular show by winning 91 seats out of the 101 it contested. This is a strike rate of whopping 90.1%. The BJP could add a few more seats as the counting is still on, and the final tally is still awaited.

The BJP is all set to form the government in Bihar with Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United (JDU).

The Assembly Elections were held in Bihar from 6 November to 11 November, to elect the 243 members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. The elections were held in two phases with a 67.1% voter turnout. The major players were the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which included the Janata Dal (United) of chief minister Nitish Kumar and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led Mahagathbandhan, which included the Congress.

The NDA has crossed the 200-seat mark while the INDIA bloc has fallen behind by a huge margin.
