Mumbai, July 13: A bomb scare at the Churchgate Station in Mumbai left the security officials in a tizzy on Thursday. According to reports, the bomb scare call was received in the morning. The call was made at the RPF control room in Mumbai. Meanwhile, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducted searches in the premises of Churchgate station and found out that it was a hoax. Nothing suspicious found in the unclaimed bag in a local train at the Churchgate station.

According to reports, an unverified call regarding bomb blast at Churchgate station was received on Thursday morning at 10.44 am at RPF control room. The information was conveyed to ATS and Crime Branch Mumbai. As per CNN-News18‘s information, extra police force was deployed at the station to avoid any untoward incident.

The news comes at a time when a high-alert has been sounded throughout the country following the Amarnath yatra attack wherein, seven persons lost their lives after a bus carrying the pilgrims was attacked in Anantnag on Monday evening.
