New Delhi, Dec 21: The polling for RK Nagar bye-poll began on Thursday. The seat fell vacant after the death of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in December, last year. Apart from RK Nagar, polling on one constituency in Uttar Pradesh, two in Arunachal Pradesh and one in West Bengal also went to polls.
In Arunachal, Pakke-Kasang (ST) and 28-Likabali (ST) Assembly constituencies have gone to bye-polls. The voting will be held between 7 am and 4 pm. In Uttar Pradesh, polling began in Sikandra assembly constituency in Kanpur Dehat district on Thursday. The polling also began in West Bengal’s Sabang constituency.
Meanwhile, four labourers were killed in a boiler blast at Sasa Musa sugar mill in Gopalganj district of Bihar. Several others were left injured in the incident.
In Delhi, due to increasing cold conditions and fog and low visibility, 30 trains were delayed, 11 rescheduled and 15 cancelled.
