Budaun: Minor Girl, Who Was Gangraped by Three in Primary Govt School, Dies

"Minor girl who was allegedly gang-raped inside a primary govt school has died. "A rape complaint was filed on 21 Aug. Medical examination was done. The investigation was underway and today, we got the information that the girl is dead," he said.

Budaun (UP): A 14-year-old girl, who was allegedly gangraped by three men in a government primary school in Budaun, died on Thursday, SSP Ashok Kumar told news agency ANI. The postmortem reports of the minor girl are awaited and an investigation in the gangrape case is underway, he said. Kumar said that the rape complaint was filed on Aug 21 and a medical examination was also done.

The matter came to light on Aug 21 when a complaint was filed with the Budaun police. The girl was allegedly gangraped inside a primary government school in Uttar Pradesh by three men. The parents of the girl alleged that she was kidnapped by three men when she was out to relieve herself.

The men, the victim’s parents alleged, abducted, gangraped and physically assaulted her; they even threatened the girl with dire consequences if she spoke about it to anyone. As soon as the men fled, the girl returned back home and narrated the whole incident to her family. An FIR was registered against one Lankush and two others.

“A case has been registered under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). A further operation to nab the other two culprits is underway,” Assistant Superintendent of Police, Surendra Pratap Singh told media here. Singh also said that the school where the incident took place has no boundary walls.
