New Delhi, Apr 13: Counting of votes for the bypolls in 10 Assembly seats spread across 8 states concluded on Thursday. Polling for West Bengal (Kanthi Dakshin), Assam (Dhemaji), Rajasthan (Dholpur), Jharkhand (Littipara), Himachal Pradesh (Bhoranj), Delhi (Rajouri Garden), Karnataka (Nanjangud and Gundlupet) and Madhya Pradesh (Ater and Bandhavgarh) bye-election results was held on April 9. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won Bhoranj bypolls and was leading in 5 other seats, when the last report came in. BJP candidate Ranoj Pegu won Assam’s Dhemaji bypolls. The Congress party maintained lead in Nanjangud and Gundlupet seats of Karnataka. Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) got massive lead in West Bengal’s Kanthi Dakshin bypolls. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) was ahead in Littipara constituency of Jharkhand.
