The election would no longer be a contest between the Dravidian stalwarts – DMK and AIADMK. The third alliance comprising of Left (CPI, CPM), PMK, MDMK and DMDK has been formed. Social media users vented their against Jayalalithaa’s AIADMK and opined that Vijayakanth would be the perfect replacement. Hashtag #ByeByeJaya began trending on Twitter on Thursday. The micro-bloggers claimed that Jayalalithaa’s rule of sycophancy is coming to an end.
