New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday raided 40 godowns in Punjab and seized samples of rice and wheat stocks, reports said. The raids have been going on since last night with help of paramilitary forces. This comes amid the ongoing protest by farmers against the Centre’s three contentious agricultural laws. They have been protesting at Delhi’s borders with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, demanding a rollback of the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
