Chandigarh: A British national alleged that she had been raped by a staff member of the spa of a leading hotel at IT Park in Chandigarh. The woman was staying at the hotel, and had gone for a foot spa when a masseur touched her inappropriately without her consent, the woman claimed. In an earlier incident in October, a 30-year-old Russian woman alleged she was raped by two unknown persons in Manali. The incident occurred when the woman was passing through an isolated area after having dinner Thursday night, Kullu Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri said.
On her complaint, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Manali police station, Agnihotri said.
