New Delhi, July 24: A 26-year-old female teacher allegedly eloped with her 15-year-old student on Friday in Fatehabad, Haryana. Police arrested the woman after the court remanded the teacher to judicial custody, said Investigating Officer Surender Kumar. Both the teacher and the student were produced before the court on Monday. The incident came to light when the Principal of the private school summoned the parents of the missing teacher and the student. Meanwhile, the father of the class X boy filed a complaint against the teacher at Fatehabad City police station for kidnapping with the intention to murder his son. The boy’s father alleged that the teacher used to interact with the boy on many occasions. Both of them had even exchanged each other’s mobile number and were in touch via social media as well. The Fatehabad Inspector reportedly said, “We found that the boy and the teacher had exchanged calls frequently. On Friday, the teacher had left her mobile phone at home. On Monday morning, she was arrested in Fatehabad. In a confession, the accused woman stated that she first took the boy to Hisar and then Delhi. From there they went to Katra, the place where the boy was finally found.
Meanwhile, the Investigating Officer ruled out any possibility of physical relationship or violence between the two, since nothing of that sort came to light during the investigation. Therefore the IO said, “We did not press for their medical examination.”
