Chennai: A man in Tamil Nadu who went to donate blood to one of his acquaintances suffered the shock of his life after he came to know that one of his kidney has been removed in the process. The incident came to light after a case was filed by the victim’s mother Shakeela Banu recently.
Shakeela approached the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court seeking appropriate action is taken against those who stole her son’s kidney.
Mohammed Fakruddin, the man who went for the blood donation with Raja Mohammed – his acquaintance – had told him that his elder sister’s son Azharuddin was unwell and required blood. On hearing this, Fakruddin agreed to help him and went to a private hospital in Madurai’s Valanagar area. While at the hospital, doctors examining Fakruddin told that he had some blood-related disease and he should be treated.
Fakruddin stayed in that hospital to get treated but later got to know that he was played with and his kidney was removed only to be transplanted to Azharuddin.
During interrogation, Raja confessed to the crime. Meanwhile, Madras HC judge Justice Seshasayee ordered the Commissioner of Police to take the accused to task.
